Tips to consider...

Tip 1: Appoint a "point person" to help with family portraits. This can be a family member, day-of coordinator or maid-of-honor / best man. This is a key step in rounding up family and guests for family photos to stay on track. The point person you designate knows your family and guests best and your photographer can concentrate on time with you while family is being gathered. This allows you to enjoy the experience of your wedding day.

Tip 2: Give a short list of desirable family member shots to your photographer. This way, they can have confidence knowing they are including the key individuals you would like photographed in your family portraits the day of your wedding. Let your photographer direct those shots in their style so you have natural and beautiful images.

Tip 3: Have a separate wrap-up consult (at least 30 days prior) with your wedding photographer and event planner to review the timeline you would like to have. This insures everyone is looped in to your desirables before the day of.
